• Bill Warner injured in crash at 238 MPH

    Land-speed racer Bill Warner injured in crash at 238 MPH.Warner was involved in a crash at the Beeville track outside of Corpus Christi, Texas, at an estimated 238 MPH. He made a warm-up pass of 208 MPH before his first official pass was recorded at 236 MPH.. Bill was banged up pretty good, broke a few bones, punctured a lung and got some serious road rash, and the bike suffered minor body damage on one side. He was airlifted as a precaution to a hospital where he is expected to be okay. He was reported to be conscious and alert by medical staff. He was expected to be held for further evaluation and recovery.
